Who's Who & What's What in Lamby's World
Before We Meet the Gang...
Well, here are the living stuffed animals and Chinese Puppy Dragons, the various humans, and the creatures that scare or cause problems. Even the very small can be powerful, but when you're small, imperfect AND wearing blue pants with cuffs (not to mention a magic plastic bottle cap), there's no telling what kind of adventure awaits.
Lamby, Wisest & Humblest of All Lambs
A bad day with the dog put Lamby, our hero, into a nightstand drawer. No eyes and a head wound meant surgery until Dad popped in a magic water bottle cap. Lamby woke with things to say and do. He wears blue cuffed lambpants, and the magic of his cap brings any and all stuffed animals to life forever. Lamby's story is best expressed in BoLAMBian Rhapsody: "Papa, you took home a Lamb. When you put me on the bed, dumb dog came and ate my head. Blinded with my stuffing gone, and the bad dog chewed a big hole in my face..."

Jonesy, a Red Chinese Puppy Dragon
This very excitable red Chinese puppy dragon is the epitome of courage against the odds - he tries to fly when he physically isn't able. Compared to his blue sister Sara, Jonesy has simple needs: food, love, shelter, and a place for his flying attempts. He fails because his wings aren’t in yet. The general thought is that Jonesy is a "simple" creature, as evidenced by too many knocks to the head from crashes. For boy puppy dragons, development is slow, not to mention that flight happens much later than that of girl puppy dragons, who can fly as soon as they hatch. In fact, when it comes to Chinese Puppy Dragons, the mother lays only two eggs in her whole life. The girl always hatches first, and because the mother leaves, the sister cares for her brother until his first flight.
Sara, Lamby's Blue Chinese Puppy Dragon
Jonesy's globe-trotting sister is a blue Chinese puppy dragon who flies just fine, thank you very much. She is in Europe with the Pretty Baby family to find stuffed animals to rescue. She sends postcards, candy and care packages to her baby brother Jonesy, who wants to fly just like his big sister.
Snout, Lamby's Porcine Best Friend
Sinus-challenged, web/computer savvy, clever, Snout often sits at Dad’s open laptop with a cup of hot coffee. Being the eldest, Snout is usually in charge. He rarely complains, guides when he can, and is chief babysitter, watching over the safety of the group. Snout still has a great deal of fun being on the computer, surfing the Web, plus reading and writing at a college level. Snout is responsible for the pint-sized Mongos. He placed an online order to an Amsterdam wool & yarn store, which sent thirty identical stuffed animal lambs (instead of the 3 ordered). Snout's growing obsession with the Internet is the reason he sometimes misses what's happening around him.
Ibsen, Lamby's Norwegian Sentry Monkey
Little was known about the snow monkeys of Norway until the website for Lambpants Stuffed Animal Rescue went live and Ibsen arrived at the headquarters. As big as he is rare, Ibsen's long arms and legs, plus his wide hands and feet, make for a perfect Mongo corral and puppy dragon catcher. Two button eyes sit in a creamy corduroy face that’s gentle, wise and patient. He doesn't speak, but he does communicate through sign language.
The Mongo Collective
After Lamby's accident with the family dog, Dad had ordered two identical lamb clones from a wool store in the Netherlands fearing parts would be needed for emergency surgery. A magic plastic bottle cap prevents the 'harvesting', as Lamby puts it, bringing to life all stuffed animals within its magic sphere. Lamby names his identical (but slightly smaller) lamb clones Mongos. More are added to the group when, instead of yarn, that same online Amsterdam wool store sends thirty identical lamb clones by accident. Thought to be all boys, Lamby names the rest ‘Mongos’ when his magic eye-cap brings them to life. Though they are adorable, they are a bit creepy and more than prone to mischief. Of course, returning them isn't an option, but Dad begins the adoption process when problems start. Most of the time, Mongos behave like little lamb shadows, shifting the cute-to-creepiness ratio more toward the latter. It is soon discovered that the collective contains both boy lamb clones as well as girls, who are called MANGOS.
