The Christmas Song
performed by D. Byron Patterson & Lamby
Chestnuts roasting on an open
fire
Jack Frost nipping on your nose,
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir,
And folks dressed up like Eskimos.
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe,
Help to make the season bright.
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow,
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.
They know that Santa's on his way;
He's loaded lots of toys & goodies on his sleigh.
And every mother's child is going to spy,
To see if reindeer really know how to fly.
And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
To kids from
one to ninety-two,
Although it's been said many times,
many ways,
Merry Christmas to you

I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas
performed by Lamby
I want a hippopotamus
for Christmas
Only a hippopotamus will do
Don't want a doll, no dinky Tinker Toy
I want a hippopotamus to play with and enjoy
I want a hippopotamus
for Christmas
I don't think Santa Claus will mind, do you?
He won't have to use our dirty chimney flue
Just bring him through the front door,
T
that's the easy thing to do
I
can see me now on Christmas morning, creeping down the stairs
Oh what joy and what surprise when I open up my eyes
To see a hippo hero standing there
I want a hippopotamus
for Christmas
Only a hippopotamus will do
No crocodiles, no rhinoceroses
I only like hippopotamuses
And hippopotamuses like me too
Dad says the hippo would eat me up,
but then
Teacher says a hippo is a vegetarian
There's lots of room
for him in our two-car garage
I'd feed him there and wash him there and give him his massage
I can see me now on Christmas morning, creeping down the stairs
Oh what joy and what surprise when I open up my eyes
To see a hippo hero standing there
I want a hippopotamus for Christmas
Only a hippopotamus will do
No crocodiles or rhinoceroses
I only like hippopotamuses
And hippopotamuses like me too!

Have Yourself a Merry Little
Christmas
performed by D. Byron Patterson & Lamby
Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Let your heart be light
From now on,
our troubles will be out of sight
Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Make the Yule-tide gay,
From now on,
our troubles will be miles away.
Here we are as in olden days,
Happy golden days of yore.
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more.
Through the years we all will be together,
If the Fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough.
And have yourself a merry
little Christmas
COW...

Lamby's Blue Eyecap Christmas
performed by Lamby
I'll have a Blue Christmas without
you
I'll be so blue thinking about you
Decorations of red on a green Christmas tree
Won't be the same, if you're not here with me
And when those blue
snowflakes start fallin'
And when those blue melodies start callin'
You'll be doin' all right, with your Christmas of white,
But I'll have a blue, blue, blue, blue Christmas
Decorations
of red on a green Christmas tree
Won't be the same, if you're not here with me
I'll have a Blue Christmas
that's certain
And when that blue heartache starts hurtin'
You'll be doin' all right, with your Christmas of white,
But I'll have a blue, blue Christmas

O Come All Ye Faithful
performed by Lamby
O Come All Ye Faithful
Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him,
Born the King of Angels;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
performed by Lamby
Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
It doesn't show signs of stopping,
And I've bought some corn for popping,
The lights are turned way down low,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
When we finally kiss goodnight,
How I'll hate going out in the storm!
But if you'll really hold me tight,
All the way home I'll be warm.
The fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we're still good-bying,
But as long as you love me so,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

The Wish-Granting Bear
Yes, his name is Herman.
a Wishing Well Story by Grandpa Dean
(Dramatic reading by Lamby coming soon)
Most animals don't have human names, but the animals with special gifts do. In a family of bears, you would call every one ‘Bear', but a special but would get a first names to go with their family names. This is the story of just such an animal, and he had a gift for granting wishes during hibernating season.
His name was Herman Bear.
One winter, Herman Bear went to his cave in the
forest after he had eaten about twenty pounds of nuts and honey.
He crawled into his bed of grass and went to sleep.
Not far from Herman's cave lived Joey Bender and his mom and dad. They lived modestly. Little Joey wanted a bicycle for Christmas. His parents knew this, but did not know if they could afford one. Joey's mom was very ill and he was afraid she might not make through the winter. To keep busy, Joey often went to the edge of the forest to pick chestnuts and pecans and edible mushrooms when he could find them. One cold day, Joey ventured farther into the forest and got himself lost.
It was freezing outside. He found a cave and went inside to get out of the cold. He didn't know it was a bear cave or that he had awakened the one living there.
Herman Bear said, "Make a wish, boy, for I'm very sleepy."
At first, Joey did not believe him, but it would not do harm to wish for his mother to get well. Joey made the wish. Herman Bear looked into the boy's heart and saw how unselfish he was to wish for his mother to be well.
"Your wish is granted, boy, now let's get you home," said Herman as he stretched into a new position on the warm cave floor.
"How can I get back when I don't know where I am?"
Herman yawned. "The bicycle will take you," he growled. "It's magic, so just get on and you'll get home."
Joey asked, "What magic bicycle?"
"The one behind you," replied Herman.
When Joey turned around, a brand new bicycle leaned against the cave entrance. Joey was confused. "I didn't wish for this," he said.
Herman opened one eye and said, "Your mother is well, and the bicycle is my gift to you for being such a good boy this year. Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas," said Joey. He jumped on the new bicycle, and just as the bear said, it took him home. He almost cried when he saw his mother cooking dinner in the kitchen.

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree
performed by Lamby
Rocking around
the Christmas tree
At the Christmas party hop
Mistletoe hung where you can see
Ev'ry couple tries to stop
Rocking around the Christmas tree
Let the Christmas Spirit ring
Later we'll have some pumpkin pie
and we'll do some caroling
You will get a sentimental feeling when
you hear
Voices singing, "Let's be jolly;
Deck the halls with boughs of holly!"
Rocking around the Christmas
tree
Have a happy holiday
Everyone's dancing merrily
In a new old fashioned way
Rocking around the Christmas tree
Let the Christmas Spirit ring
Later we'll have some pumpkin pie
and we'll do some caroling
You will get a sentimental feeling when
you hear
Voices singing, "Let's be jolly;
Deck the halls with boughs of holly!"

Sleigh Ride
performed by Lamby
Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring ting
tingling too
Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together
with you
Outside the snow is falling and friends are calling, "Yoo
hoo!"
Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.
Giddy yap, giddy yap, giddy yap, let's go - let's
look at the show.
We're riding in a wonderland of snow.
Giddy yap, giddy yap, gidd yap,
it's grand just holding your hand.
We're gliding along with a song
of a wintry fairy land.
Our cheeks are nice and rosy and comfy cozy are
we.
We're snuggled up together like two birds of a feather would
be.
Let's take that road before us and sing a chorus or two.
Come on,
it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.
There's a birthday party at the home of Farmer Gray
It'll
be the perfect ending a of perfect day
We'll be singing the songs
we love to sing without a single stop
At the fireplace while we watch
the chestnuts pop - pop! pop! pop!
There's a happy feeling nothing in the world can
buy
When they pass around the coffee and the pumpkin
pie
It'll nearly be like a picture print by Currier and Ives
These wonderful things are the things we remember all through our
lives!
Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring ting
tingling too
Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together
with you
Outside the snow is falling and friends are calling, "Yoo hoo!"
Come
on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.
It's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with
you
It's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you

Mary's Boy Child
performed by Lamby
Long time ago in Bethlehem, so the Holy Bible say,
Mary's boy child Jesus Christ was born on Christmas day.
Hark now hear the angels sing, "A new king's born today.
And man will live forevermore because of Christmas day."
While shepherds
watched their flock by night, they saw a bright new shining star.
They heard a choir from heaven sing, the music came from afar.
Hark
now hear the angels sing, "A new king's born today.
And man will live forevermore because of Christmas day."
Now Joseph
and his wife Mary came to Bethlehem that night.
They found no place to bear her child, not a single room was in sight.
By
and by they found a little nook in a stable all forlorn.
And in a manger cold and dark Mary's little boy was born.
Trumpets
sound and angels sing, listen to what they say.
That man will live forevermore because of Christmas day.

Here at Lambpants.com, we strive to spread the happy and not the cranky. We do that through various acts of creative expression, but trying to follow that philosophy, especially during the holidays, sometimes takes us to results different than we had initially anticipated. Being Lamby's Dad is a big responibility, but I wanted to let our younger fans know that even a Dad with the very best of intentions can get a little nutty on accident.
I admit that I got carried away with some of my song choices and artistic requests for this year's A Very Lamby Christmas. It created some small chaos in the recording studio recently. Since I need to face what I did, I have engineered "Dominick the Donkey" as is. The result does spread the happy, but I wanted to publicly apologize to Lamby for not showing him the respect he deserves. And so, as I close this brief commentary, I take responsibility for what you’re about to hear and also to wish you Happy Holidays before I take my nap.
Dominick the Donkey
performed by Lamby
Hey! Chingedy ching (hee-haw, hee-haw)
It's Dominick the Donkey.
Chingedy ching (hee-haw, hee-haw)
The Italian Christmas donkey.
Santa's got a little friend,
His name is Dominick.
The cutest little donkey,
You never see him kick.
When Santa visits his paisons,
With Dominick he'll be.
Because the reindeer cannot,
Climb the hills of Italy.
Hey! Chingedy ching (hee-haw, hee-haw)...

You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch.
You really are a heel.
You're as cuddly as a cactus,
You're as charming as an eel, Mr. Grinch.
You're a bad banana with a greasy black peel.
You're a monster, Mr. Grinch.
Your heart's an empty hole.
Your brain is full of spiders,
You've got garlic in your soul, Mr. Grinch.
I wouldn't touch you with a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole.
You're
a foul one, Mr. Grinch.
You're a nasty, wasty skunk.
Your heart is full of unwashed socks
Your soul is full of gunk, Mr. Grinch.
The 3 words that best describe you are as follows, and I quote:
"Stink.
Stank. Stunk."
You're a rotter, Mr. Grinch.
You're the king of sinful sots.
Your heart's a dead tomato splot
With moldy purple spots, Mr. Grinch.
Your soul is an appalling dung heap overflowing with the most disgraceful
assortment of deplorable
rubbish imaginable, mangled in tangled up knots.
